Bite Balancing
Bite balancing is a process of evaluating how the teeth should contact one another and changing the tooth by adding or removing small amounts of surface. Our teeth can contact one another in good ways, but if they contact each other in bad ways, damage may occur.
The process of bite balancing adds good points of contact and removes places where the teeth can damage one another. Many times, grinding or clenching is the result of an improper bite. A pleasing smile should also feel comfortable and it can through the bite balancing process.
Night Guard
Bruxism is the process of grinding the teeth together while sleeping and can lead to many serious dental problems. Grinding can cause teeth to become painful or loose. Patients can literally grind away parts of their teeth, leaving them with worn surfaces or fractured enamel.
